Today Indian government banned 47 Chinese apps for security issues. Previously Indian government banned 59 popular Chinese apps including TikTok,Shareit and UC Browser etc. Indian government also put over 250 apps under the radar.
47 apps banned by the government consist of clone and lite versions of apps which were banned previously. These apps include tiktok lite bigo lite VFY lite etc. These apps are removed by the play store and Apple store.
PUBG is one of the popular smartphone games and has a major user base in India. PUBG has over 175 million downloads alone in India. PUBG is developed by South Korean company Blue hole studios but Chinese tech giant Tencent has ample amount of share in PUBG
Various allegations were put up on PUBG in India previously by parents and guardians. Many states in India had put a temporary ban on PUBG due to its addictive nature which causes physical and mental effects especially on youth.
PUBG collected many complaints and had improved gameplay management like remainder after every two hours. And managing gameplay according to the user’s age etc.
Pakistan also banned PUBG due to its effects on players earlier this month. The Pakistan court lifted this ban on 26 July.
